SYNTHESIS PFR LIME KILN PLUS POINTS

QualiCal identified the PFR, Parallel Flow Regenerative technology, as the best for the CALCINATION in vertical lime kilns and for this reason we implemented this technology in the very original design of the Synthesis® TWIN SHAFT LIME KILN.

Synthesis design is original, and a patent is pending, because the shape of the preheating and burning zones is different from the shape of the cooling zone. The first two are circular, the third is rectangular.

Easy and cheap refractory lining design

The passage from the circular section (the best shape for the limestone preheating and lime burning) to the rectangular one (successfully proven for the lime cooling in hundreds of kilns in operation) is realized in a smooth manner and guarantees a very easy and cheap refractory lining design.

EASY, CHEAP AND SAFE CONNECTING CHANNEL

RECTANGULAR shaft shape and DIRECT CROSSOVER CHANNEL ensure a proper passage of the gases from one shaft to the other with no built-up problems.

BEST DISCHARGE FLOW

Passing from the circular zone to the squared cooling zone there is a natural enlargement of the sections of the shafts. This is the best pre-condition to avoid “bridges” of material into the shafts, and to allow a very smooth discharge flow of quicklime to be discharged.

NO SPECIAL BRICK

The easy refractory lining design it allows lower quantity of refractory lining without the usage of any special bricks.

This makes QualiCal® Synthesis® the lime kiln with the lowest investment and running costs, capable of providing the proven highest quality of quick lime.

REFRACTORY LINING SPECIFICATIONS

• The preheating zone is lined with fire-clay bricks backed by light weight fire bricks and insulating bricks
• The calcination zone is lined with magnesite bricks backed by light weight fire bricks and insulating bricks.
• the direct crossover channel is lined with special magnesite bricks and insulating material
• The cooling zone is lined with fire-clay bricks and insulating plate
• NO SPECIAL SHAPES BRICKS ARE REQUIRED
