Synthesis lime kiln with easy and simple lime discharging solution
#NEVERSTOPINNOVATING is QualiCal Corporate vision focused on the R&D activities driving the progress in the lime field.
Synthesis PFR lime kiln PLUS POINTS
QualiCal identified the PFR, Parallel Flow Regenerative technology, as the best for the CALCINATION in vertical lime kilns and for this reason we implemented this technology in the very original design of the Synthesis® TWIN SHAFT LIME KILN.
QualiCal® is proposing Synthesis® as an original design, and represents the ultimate solution in the vertical parallel flow lime kiln (PFR). The originality of the design, which allows the regenerative burning process to take place in the most effective way, consists in the “synthesis” of the most effective solutions, in part adopted in the others kind of kilns in operation today.
This makes QualiCal® Synthesis® the lime kiln with the lowest investment and running costs, capable of providing the proven highest quality of quick lime.
The easy and simple lime discharging solution
QualiCal shaft design (patented), foresee a smooth passage from the circular pre-heating and burning zone, to the rectangular cooling zone. This allows an easy lime discharge done on a rectangular section with “simple & proven” rectangular drawer system.
3 Rectangular drawers for every shaft, independent and hydraulically operated, continuously moving in and out, discharge the quicklime from the bottom of the cooling zone.
The original orientation of the discharge drawers allows the lime discharge both in the internal and external side.
QualiCal “rectangular” drawer solution is easy and proven. It is better than “round & rectangular” and “semi-circular” solutions, since both of them are not so flexible and/or more complicated.
“Fine lime” smooth quicklime discharge
Passing from the circular pre-heating and burning zone to the rectangular cooling zone with straight walls going from the top to the bottom, there is a natural enlargement of the sections of the shafts. This is the best pre-condition:
- To avoid “bridges” of material into the shafts,
- To burn and discharge in the best way also fine-lime material
